Crivid on Fire TV Stick

Install it, keep it up to date, and unlock Pro with your phone.

Crivid for Fire TV comes from this website, not from the Amazon Appstore. It is the same app as on Android TV, and it updates itself. Only install Crivid from crividplayer.com. A copy from anywhere else is not ours.

Which sticks

Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick (3rd generation) and Fire TV Cube. Any Fire TV with Fire OS 6 or newer works. You can see yours in Settings, My Fire TV, About.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the newest Fire TV models run Vega OS instead of Fire OS. Crivid cannot run there, and neither can other Android apps.

Install Crivid

  1. On the Fire TV home screen, search for Downloader and install it. It is free.
  2. Open Settings, My Fire TV, Developer options, Install unknown apps, and turn on Downloader. On older sticks the setting is called Apps from Unknown Sources; turn it on.
    No Developer options? Open Settings, My Fire TV, About, and press OK on the name of your Fire TV seven times. Then go back.
  3. Open Downloader, type the code 1186147 (or crividplayer.com/fire) and choose Go.
  4. When the download is done, choose Install, then Open.

Downloader may offer to delete the installer file afterwards. You can say yes, Crivid does not need it.

Updates

Crivid checks for a new version when you start it. When one is ready, choose Update now. It takes about a minute.

The first time, Fire TV asks whether Crivid may install apps. Turn on Crivid in the list that opens and go back. The update carries on by itself, and after that, updates go straight through.

Pro on your Fire TV Stick

Every Pro feature is free for seven days. Fire TV has no store Crivid can sell through, so Pro is bought in Crivid on your phone and unlocked on the stick from there.

  1. On your phone, buy Pro in Crivid, or use the Pro you already have.
  2. On the Fire TV Stick, open Settings, Account & Pro, Unlock Pro with your phone. It shows a code.
  3. On your phone, open Settings, Account & Pro, Firesticks. Type the code and choose Unlock Firestick.

The stick shows Pro a few seconds later.

How many sticks?
One purchase unlocks up to five Fire TV Sticks. You do not pay again.
New stick, or one you gave away?
Remove the old one in the list on your phone. You can remove one stick a week.
Does it need the phone afterwards?
No. The stick keeps Pro on its own. The phone is only for adding and removing sticks.

If something is off

The code does not work
A code lasts ten minutes. Go back on the stick and open Unlock Pro with your phone again for a new one.
Downloader says the app could not be installed
Check that Install unknown apps is on for Downloader (on older sticks, Apps from Unknown Sources), and that your stick runs Fire OS 6 or newer.
